Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Cultivate Social platform and services (the "Service") operated by Cultivate Social LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

This AUP works alongside our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other published policies. If any conflict arises between this AUP and our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

1. Who We Serve

Cultivate Social is built for faith leaders, ministers, Christian authors, podcasters, faith-focused entrepreneurs, and ministry media professionals. Our Service helps these creators transform source material — sermons, transcripts, manuscripts, and other content — into multi-platform social media campaigns.

This AUP reflects both our commitment to responsible use of AI-generated content and the specific theological and ministry context in which our users operate.

2. Permitted Uses

You may use the Service to:

• Generate social media content from sermons, teaching materials, podcast episodes, books, manuscripts, and other content you own or have permission to use.
• Publish generated content to connected social media platforms within your subscription limits.
• Manage multiple brands, content hubs, and publishing workflows as permitted by your subscription tier.
• Engage in good-faith theological teaching, doctrinal discussion, and comparison between faith traditions, including content that critiques or disagrees with specific doctrines, practices, or belief systems, when such content is offered for the purpose of teaching, edification, or informed discourse.
• Share testimony, personal faith experiences, and ministry reflections.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create, upload, generate, publish, or distribute content that:

3.1 Promotes violence, harm, or unlawful action

• Incites, threatens, or glorifies violence against any individual or group.
• Promotes, plans, or facilitates terrorism, extremism, or acts of mass harm.
• Encourages self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
• Facilitates the planning or execution of any criminal activity.

3.2 Targets individuals or groups for harm

• Dehumanizes, threatens, or incites hatred against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age, or veteran status.
• Harasses, bullies, intimidates, or targets specific individuals.
• Doxes or shares private information about individuals without their consent.

3.3 Exploits or endangers minors

• Sexualizes minors in any form.
• Depicts, describes, or facilitates abuse, exploitation, or trafficking of minors.
• Creates content intended to groom, manipulate, or harm children.

3.4 Contains sexual or adult content

• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or sexually suggestive material.
• Content promoting commercial sexual services.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery.

3.5 Violates intellectual property rights

• Uses copyrighted text, images, music, or other material without permission or applicable license (see Section 4).
• Uses trademarks, logos, or brand identities of others without authorization.
• Misrepresents authorship or origin of content.

3.6 Contains fraud, deception, or misinformation

• Impersonates another person, organization, or ministry.
• Spreads demonstrably false information about public health, elections, or safety.
• Promotes fraudulent schemes, including financial scams disguised as ministry or charitable giving.
• Makes false claims about healing, prosperity, or spiritual outcomes designed to extract money from vulnerable people.

3.7 Violates platform terms or technical integrity

• Circumvents usage limits, tier restrictions, or security features.
• Attempts to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service infrastructure.
• Introduces malware, spam, or automated abuse.
• Uses the Service to send bulk unsolicited commercial messages.

3.8 Is illegal or facilitates illegal activity

• Violates applicable local, state, federal, or international law.
• Promotes illegal drug sales, weapons trafficking, or human trafficking.
• Facilitates tax fraud, securities fraud, or other financial crimes.

4. User Content and Ownership

4.1 Your content is yours. You retain ownership of source material you upload and content you generate using the Service. You grant Cultivate Social a limited license to process, store, and deliver that content as necessary to provide the Service, as detailed in our Terms of Service.

4.2 You are responsible for rights. You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for any material you upload — including sermons, transcripts, manuscripts, book content, music, images, or any third-party material incorporated into your sources.

4.3 Third-party quotations. Brief quotations of others' work for legitimate teaching purposes may qualify as fair use, but fair use is a legal determination with no bright-line rules. Users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable copyright law. When in doubt, obtain permission from the rights holder.

4.4 Generated content licensing. Content generated by our AI providers is subject to the licensing terms of those providers and our agreements with them. See our AI Content Disclosure for details.

5. AI-Generated Content Responsibilities

Cultivate Social uses artificial intelligence to generate written content, images, and video storyboards based on your source materials and inputs. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content you did not intend.
• You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publication.
• You are solely responsible for content you approve and publish, regardless of whether it was AI-generated.
• Cultivate Social is not liable for the content users choose to publish.
• You will not use the Service to generate content designed to deceive audiences about authorship or AI involvement in ways that violate applicable law or platform policies.

6. Enforcement

6.1 Our discretion. We reserve the right to investigate, review, or remove content and accounts that we believe, in our sole discretion, violate this AUP. We may act on reports from users, rights holders, law enforcement, or our own detection systems.

6.2 Enforcement actions. Depending on severity, we may:

• Issue a warning.
• Remove specific content.
• Disable features on your account.
• Suspend your account temporarily.
• Terminate your account permanently.
• Refuse service to any individual or entity.
• Report illegal activity to law enforcement.
• Pursue civil legal action for damages.

6.3 Repeat violations. We maintain a repeat infringer policy. Users who repeatedly violate copyright, repeatedly upload prohibited content, or repeatedly abuse the Service will have their accounts terminated. See our DMCA/Copyright Policy for specifics on copyright repeat infringers.

6.4 No refunds for AUP violations. Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not entitled to refunds for unused subscription time, content credits, cinematic video packs, or other prepaid services. See our Refund Policy.

6.5 Immediate action for severe violations. For content that endangers minors, incites imminent violence, or violates other severe categories, we may take immediate action without prior notice, including account termination and law enforcement referral.

7. Reporting Violations

If you believe another user or generated content violates this AUP, report it to support@cultivate-social.app.

Please include:

• Your contact information.
• The account, URL, or content you are reporting.
• A description of the alleged violation.
• Any supporting evidence.

For copyright-specific concerns, use the process in our DMCA/Copyright Policy rather than the general report channel above.

For reports involving imminent threats of violence or endangerment of minors, contact local law enforcement immediately and then notify us so we can assist.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.

9. Governing Law

This AUP is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes are subject to the arbitration terms in our Terms of Service.
